While the housing sector is taking up newspaper columns across the continent, there is much to be debated about in regard to the future of the commercial industry. The pandemic and subsequent hybrid working models have reshaped vacancy rates and demand for office space, with many existing commercial buildings even being assessed as to whether they can take on residents in their second life.
We look at the current state of commercial architecture and development, where it’s headed and what opportunities (or lack thereof) there are on the horizon for our built environment professionals.
