TRIAS
TRIAS
TRIAS is an award-winning, emerging architecture studio based in Sydney, Australia. Since its establishment in 2017, the studio has quickly developed a reputation for thoughtful and thorough design work.
TRIAS has completed residential and cultural projects across Australia and the UK, and has won numerous local and international design competitions. In 2017, the studio was named one of the top twenty emerging practices in the world by Wallpaper* magazine while, in 2018, they were awarded the NSW AIA Architecture Award and the Newcastle Sustainability Award for their Three Piece House. More recently, in 2021, TRIAS’ Minima project received two Commendation Awards in the Sustainability categories of the NSW AIA Awards and the Houses Awards.
TRIAS is led by its three directors, Jennifer McMaster, Jonathon Donnelly and Casey Bryant. The studio’s team also includes a talented group of emerging young designers.
TRIAS was founded on three principles: to create buildings that are solid, simple and beautiful. These ideals tie the studio’s work to the origins of architecture, which Vitruvius defined as firmness, commodity and delight.
As designers, TRIAS advocate for less but better in all that they do. Their work prioritises buildings that are progressive, sustainable and timeless.
