Stephen Goddard

Stephen is a NSW strata lawyer admitted to practice in 1979.

As chairperson of the Owners Corporation Network (OCN), Stephen was the first public interest advocate in the strata space alerting Governments to the critical issues impacting on high density living.

In 18 years of advocacy, Stephen has advised 14 consecutive NSW Ministers who were responsible for strata legislation of the end user concerns. The focus was law reform. The self evident truth of systemic failure in the building industry to deliver the building code, evidenced by Opal and Mascot Towers, means consumer protection must be in full focus. If public confidence is to return to the new residential strata construction, the consumer voice must be heard — essential steps must be taken.
