Matthew Leishman

As the National Manager of Technology Solutions Group (R&D) for Capral Aluminium, Matt is responsible for the development, design, prototyping and testing of window and door systems, his 15 years experience has given him an extensive knowledge of the Fenestration & Aluminium Extrusion Industries. Capral’s range of Fenestration products is one of the most comprehensive, trusted and widely recognised in Australia.

A key aspect of Matt’s role is to ensure all building system products offered by Capral are compliant with various aspects of the NCC including AS2047 (Structural, Air & Water), Energy, Acoustics & Bushfire. As part of his experience he has designed, developed and commissioned a NATA accredited AS2047 testing laboratory for Capral.

Matt is also the chair of the AGWA technical committee for the past 2 years & an active participant in various sub-committees who draft, develop & review Australian and other industry specific standards including codes of practice and training literature.
