Chris Barnett is an architect with over 25 years in architecture and building. He has a depth of experience working on collaborative design and sustainability leadership projects, with his work having
won both architectural and wider building industry awards.
Chris is the Managing Director of Habitech Systems, an innovative Melbourne based company that is delivering a new form of high-performance housing to the Australian market. Habitech’s modular, flatpacked building system allows it to design and build super strong and insulated houses in much less time than traditional construction – creating genuinely ‘more sustainable’ houses.
Chris is also a Director of Third Skin, a specialist consultancy and architectural practice providing sustainability and integrated ESD advice.
Chris has sat on the Australian Institute of Architects National Sustainability Committee and represented the AIA on the Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council w Sustainable Housing Task Group.
