Debate: Is our continuing population growth a help or hindrance to ensuring a sustainable built environment?

Australia’s population growth and urbanisation, affect virtually all development objectives, consumption, production, employment, income distribution, poverty and social protections. They also complicate our efforts to ensure universal access to health, education, housing, sanitation, water, etc. The questions is, where are we really heading, and do we need to change directions?
