The idea behind the T2 store concept was for it to be as beautiful as it was environmentally conscious. Sandbox were invited to design and deliver a store that would shift perceptions and challenge sustainability in retail and commercial design, successfully receiving a 5 Star Green Star design review in the process.
In order to achieve a Green Star Design Review rating of five stars from the Green Building Council of Australia, the store reached excellence in sustainable and environmentally conscious design, construction, and operation.
The store reflects modern sustainable design at its best, showcasing natural, Australian made materials and finishes, recycled materials like Betta Stone’s recycled countertops, living plants for improved air circulation and environmentally-led elements that help customers, like the tea refilling station.
