480 Queen Street

BVN

480 Queen Street establishes a new office building typology for Brisbane’s CBD – the ‘Campus Tower’, and is designed to integrate a highly engaging public realm with Premium Grade office accommodation. Characteristics of the site and surrounds have influenced the volumetric solution, identity and details. The podium, imagined as a ‘re-made ground’, is a series of public spaces linked by a 24/7 pedestrian street, culminating in an elevated park that aligns with the ground plane of St John’s Cathedral across Adelaide Street. This large scale green space supporting public and business interactions is a memorable addition to the network of outdoor spaces that form part of our sub-tropic city. Above this ‘re-made ground’, is a stacked tower of large approximately 1700 m² commercial floor plates to the upper parts addressed off Queen Street, and approximately 3,000 m2 commercial floor plates to the lower part addressed off Adelaide Street.
