Terms & Conditions

These are the terms and conditions (the “Agreement”) governing your participation in any event (physical or virtual) organised by Indesign Media Asia Pacific and/or Integrated Media. By registering for this event you agree to these terms, which form a binding legal contract between the organiser and the registered attendee or guest. If you are registering on behalf of another individual, it is your responsibility to ensure the person attending is aware of these terms and accepts them. By completing the registration on behalf of another individual you are warranting that you have made the Attendee aware of these terms and that they have accepted these terms.

  • 1. Terms:
    • 1.1 – “Organisers” means the Sustainability team or Indesign Media Asia Pacific.
    • 1.2 – “Partners” means participating companies.
    • 1.3 – “Contractors” are external third parties hired by Sustainability Awards and Summit
    • 1.4 – “Venue” means the event space and the company who owns and runs the space
    • 1.5 – “Attendee” or “you” means the person, firm, company or other organisation attending the event or registering for the event.
  • 2. Attendee Requirements:
    • 2.1 – Once confirmed, ticket sales are final. No refunds, exchanges or cancellations are available except as required by law.
    • 2.2 – Tickets are sold on behalf of the organization responsible for presenting the event and are subject to the conditions applicable to the event and/or the venue where the event is presented.
    • 2.3 – All attendees are required to register. The organizer will record your details in a secure database in order to produce registration access, generate statistics and to mail, email or SMS you information about the event, future events, newsletters and other publications.
    • 2.4 – The organizer may use your details to communicate to you, or permit selected third parties to communicate to you we feel may interest you.
    • 2.5 – The organizer may share your details with selected third parties.
    • 2.6 – Your registration entitles you access to the event for which you have registered. This access may differ between physical and virtual access depending on the ticket tier you registered for. Any and all other costs associated with your attendance shall be born solely by you, and the organizer shall have no liability for such costs.
    • 2.7 – Late arrival may result in non-admittance until a suitable or available break in the event, if at all and admission is at the discretion of box office or event personnel on duty at the event.
    • 2.8 – By participating in the event you acknowledge and agree to grant the organizer the right to record, film, live stream, photograph, or capture your likeness in any media now available or hereafter developed and to distribute, broadcast, use or otherwise globally disseminate, in perpetuity, such media without any further approval from you or any payment to you. This grant includes, but is not limited to, the right to edit such media, the right to use the media alone or together with other information, and the right to allow others to use or disseminate the media.
    • 2.9 – You acknowledge and agree that the organizer, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to change any and all aspects of the event, including but not limited to, name, themes, content, program, speakers, hosts, moderators, venue and time.
    • 2.10 – By registering for this event, you grant the organizer a royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual license to use your company name and indicia (including any logo) to promote and publicise this event and the organizer in any manner and in any media.
  • 3 Event Registration Confirmation
    • 3.1 – Once you have completed your registration, you will receive your confirmation by email. Please ensure that your valid email is entered correctly on the registration form. Please be sure to check your junk email box should any of your emails from the organizer by caught by spam filters.
    • 3.2 – You will receive essential information for registered attendees electronically at the email address and mailing address that are provided on your registration form.
    • 3.3 – You will also be added to the organiser’s participant list for notifications of future events or initiatives.
    • 3.4 – If you would like to opt-out of any of these emails, an opt-out link is provided in each email.
  • 4. Prohibited Conduct
    • 4.1 – You acknowledge and agree that the organizer reserves the right to remove you from any event if the organizer, in its sole discretion, determines that your participation or behaviour create a disruption or hinder the event or the enjoyment of the event for other attendees. The Organiser is not liable for any loss which the attendee incurs as a result.
    • 4.2 – Attendees may not record or broadcast audio or video of this or any event by the organizer. This includes events made available on demand.
    • 4.3 – Tickets must not be re-sold or offered for re-sale at a premium either by the original purchaser or any subsequent bearer. If a ticket is sold in breach of this condition, the ticket may be cancelled without a refund and the bearer of the ticket may be refused admission.
    • 4.4 – The organizer reserves the right to deny participation to anyone who engages in or is reputed to engage in unethical or non-compliant business practices.
    • 4.5 – In addition to the requirements and prohibitions set forth above, the organizer may also exclude any prospective participant from registering for or participating in this or any event.
  • 5. Indemnity
    • 5.1 – The Organisers are not liable for any delay, fault or incident caused by any Contractors or partners.
    • 5.2 – The Organisers are not liable for any incident, harm or direct or indirect cost to the attendee caused inside the venue.
    • 5.3 – Subject to the provisions of these terms and conditions, and any applicable laws, the Organiser is not liable for or in connection with any: (i) Death or personal injury, illness, disability to an attendee caused or aggravated in the course of visiting the event; or (ii) Fraudulent misrepresentation; or (iii) In the case of willful default.
    • 5.4 – The Organiser shall not be liable for or in connection with any costs, direct or indirect as a result of: (i) Excessive consumption of alcohol by an attendee (ii) The effect of any food allergies in the consumption of any food throughout the event.
    • 5.5 – The Organisers shall not be liable to the attendee for any direct or indirect costs, claims, damages, expenses or other claims for compensation whatsoever in respect of any misrepresentation, negligence, misstatement, default, act or omission by any sub- contractor, supplier or other third party service provider who is retained by the organiser in the provision of services.
  • 6. Privacy
    • 6.1 – Sustainability Awards is operated by Indesign Media Asia Pacific. As such, the Awards and Summit is governed by Indesign Media’s privacy policy. The full policy can be accessed here or at architectureanddesign.com.au/info/privacy-policy
