Based on Bunurong Country, Melbourne, The Sociable Weaver is an integrated architecture and construction practice focused on delivering high-performance architectural projects designed to endure over time.

The name is inspired by the Sociable Weaver bird, whose nests demonstrate climate-responsive design, longevity and collective living. Built to withstand extreme conditions and support multiple generations, these structures reflect many of the principles that inform their work, including resilience, thermal comfort, connection to place and a sense of belonging.

Their aim is to contribute meaningfully to the decarbonisation of Australia’s built environment through considered, measurable and enduring architecture.
