As a Senior Associate and Public Sector Sustainability Lead at Architectus, Sam drives sustainable design solutions and is uniquely positioned to understand the social and environmental challenges facing the architectural profession.
An expert in mass timber construction, Sam has led innovative projects such as the Macquarie University Ainsworth Building – winner of the 2021 Sustainability Awards – and the Barker College Maths Hub – recent winner of the prestigious AIA NSW Milo Dunphy Award for Sustainable Architecture.
Through his experience delivering timber education buildings, Sam has observed a profoundly positive impact on student wellbeing as a result of the connection to nature users feel through biophilic design principles.
