Mike Hermon

Mike is a qualified senior development professional with a depth and breadth of planning and environmental approvals experience, spanning in excess of 20 years. This experience has been gained in senior town planning roles in multiple local governments, two consulting firms and an industry peak body – the Housing Industry Association (HIA). Mike joined the HIA in 2014 and currently holds the position of Executive Director – Planning & Development, this role incorporates management oversights of the HIA GreenSmart program – Australia’s first sustainable building program designed for the residential building industry.   

Mike has an acute understanding of the many facets that make-up and influence the building, construction and development industry, and is passionate about the success of the industry, particularly that participants have access to appropriate training to assist them in obtaining the necessary skills.
