Matt Day

Matt Day is a Sydney-based registered architect and Director of Matt Day Architects. After working in Denmark for seven years, he returned to Australia to establish his practice, with a focus on climate-responsive and sustainable design.

A certified Passivhaus designer and alumnus of the Glenn Murcutt Masterclass, Matt has also taught sustainable design in the University of Sydney’s Master of Architecture program. His projects span Australia, Europe, Africa, and Japan, shaping an approach grounded in local climate, culture, and critical regionalism.
