Jo Lia

Jo Lia is a leading building biologist, certified Electromagnetic Radiation consultant, and IICRC-trained water damage restoration and applied microbial remediation technician, dedicated to creating healthy living environments. Jo specializes in addressing indoor air quality and water quality. With over a decade of experience assessing homes, workplaces, and schools Jo has seen firsthand how building design and building materials play a critical role in the health of a building and the health of its occupants. 

As a building biologist, Jo measures volatile organic compounds (VOCs), heavy metals, allergens, mould, and EMF exposure, while focusing on preventative solutions to ensure long-term well-being. 

As a panellist at the Sustainability Summit 2024, Jo will be speaking in the Healthy Homes for Wellbeing segment, sharing insights on how to design spaces that foster wellness through environmental health awareness. Jo’s expertise, featured in health publications, podcasts, and TV programs like Channel Ten’s “Healthy Homes,” empowers people to build environments that enhance both health and sustainability. 

Jo offers services across the Sydney metro area and provides online consultations for rural or international clients.
