Dr Davina Jackson

Dr. Davina Jackson is a Sydney-based writer specializing in books, websites, and exhibitions focusing on architecture, history, and the urban design implications of satellite-mediated light and data technologies. A former editor of “Architecture Australia” and a founder of the Vivid light festival in Sydney, she is currently a councillor and fellow of the Royal Society of New South Wales and a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and Royal Society of Arts in London. During recent research fellowships with Cambridge and Kent universities and Goldsmiths College in London, she authored international books on smart light cities, digital earth, and data cities movements. Her latest book is “Australian Architecture: A History” (Allen & Unwin, 2022).
