Dr. Amr Omar is a Senior Research Associate at UNSW Sydney’s School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, where he leads research at the intersection of sustainable water, energy, and digital infrastructure. His work focuses on reducing the environmental footprint of data centres through water-energy efficiency benchmarking, and waste heat recovery. He has served as Chief Investigator on industry and government-funded projects, including the NSW Evaporative Cooling Roadmap developed in partnership with NSW DCCEEW.
