Alisa is a designer, collaborator, and impact-driven leader. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Master’s degree specializing in the sustainable design of retail spaces. Alisa is particularly interested in circular economy thinking, aiming to shift the design industry’s mindset from a take-make-waste economy to one that values materials as valuable resources.
With 15 years of experience as a commercial interior designer, she is passionate about creating environmentally sustainable spaces and products. Alisa is the founder and director of Re:New Design, an Interior and Design studio, and a certified social enterprise. Their mission is to use design projects to address the environmental crisis on a global scale.
One of Alisa’s current projects is the Green Library, conceived to provide easy access to certified environmentally sustainable materials for Architects and Interior Designers. The first two libraries will launch in Brisbane by year-end, with plans for a national expansion.
